When I told my family about the idea for HEKTIK around our kitchen island, they were all on board.

We knew that HEKTIK had to be different, that we had to be better than the rest.

We didn't just want our sunglasses to be good; we wanted them to be outstanding.

We had to have better styles, better quality, better features, and, most of all, better prices for great sunglasses.

We set out to prove that great sunglasses don't have to break the bank, because we wanted people just like us to be able to afford them.

It would have been easy just to laser a brand name on some wholesale sunglasses, that's what a lot of companies do for a quick buck. Instead, we fought with our factory reps for all the features most companies don’t want to pay for.

We wanted the best colors, materials, styles, and fit for each HEKTIK sunglass, designing, changing, adapting and customizing it to perfection.

Every day I take a pair of HEKTIK sunglasses out of the packaging, just to look at them.

From the moment YOU take these out of the box, you will see and feel the difference immediately.

We are a middle-class family that started with nothing (less than nothing actually), but we've never been particularly good at knowing what we couldn't do, so we've accomplished a lot together in thirty years.

Everyone's unique personality and skills made a great team, and I never could have made this happen without them.

HEKTIK is a family company from top to bottom, and we stand behind our products. It is important that people are always happy and fully satisfied with what they buy from us.

As I'm writing this, I’m looking out of the office into the warehouse at racks
full of custom HEKTIK sunglasses, and it all still seems a little crazy that we’ve
gotten here.

We had no idea that this process would take almost three years and a thousand
steps, big and small, to turn HEKTIK into a reality.

It's hard to believe that this all just started as an idea.

It all starts with something you’re passionate about.  

After that it’s just hard work.  

Learning together by doing things you’ve never done.
